Individual Counseling
Individual counseling is a collaborative one on one process between the therapist and the client. Together, you will work to identify specific goals and steps you can take to meet those goals. Individual therapy, also known as psychotherapy, is useful to work through a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, and other life struggles. Iron City Counseling has several different well trained therapist to choose from. We invite you to visit our MEET THE STAFF page to check out each therapist and read through their bio so that you can determine which therapist would be a great fit for your needs.

Couples Counseling
Couples in every stage of a relationship can benefit from couple’s counseling. Whether you are dating, preparing for marriage, married, separated, or communicating through divorce; counseling can help. A couple’s counselor can join with you to help you navigate communication, conflict resolution, intimacy, attachment, affair recovery, grief and loss, or many other concerns in your relationship. We all at times can benefit from a little help getting through challenges and preparing for what is next, both as individuals and in relationships. Let us work with you to help you experience healing and hope in your relationships.
Family Counseling
Family counseling is designed to help strengthen the family unit. The therapist will work with each member of the family to help improve communication, work through family issues, and provide each member with conflict resolution skills.
EMDR
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing. EMDR is a highly effective form of therapy proven to help those who struggle with PTSD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other life struggles. EMDR activates the left and right side of the brain to help the client work through unprocessed memories. Think of it this way: Our brain is a computer and our negative thoughts and core beliefs are like a virus in which we operate out of. EMDR is like a system update for the brain. For more information on EMDR, please visit www.emdria.org.
Therapists at our practice who are trained in EMDR include: Erica Wilbanks, Jessica Hendrix, McKenzie Wheeler, Camille Jones, Bridgett Wright, Amber Keltz, Kat Lawson, and Allison Kiser.
